Tour Highlights

In the City Walk neighborhood of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, there is a “bio-dome” (an indoor zoo and garden) called The Green Planet.
It features more than 3,000 plants and creatures, including fish, birds, and reptiles, in an artificial tropical rainforest. They are maintained in public areas, but touching is not permitted. In 2016, 3,000 plants and animals were introduced into the Green Planet indoor environment.
Meraas created the attraction.

The cube-shaped bio-dome was constructed as an addition to CityWalk on Al Wasl Road. The outer shell of the 60,000 square foot structure is divided lengthwise into two sections. While the other is covered with tiny circular holes, one portion is cylindrical and made of glass. An artificial tree with an 82-foot (25-meter) tall trunk stands in the middle of the bio-dome. Only four persons can cross the narrow bridge at once as it connects to the tree. In addition, there is a man-made waterfall. Visitors use a lift to access the fourth story, then use a spiral staircase to descend. To access the animals in the basement, there are stairs and an elevator as well. At every level, there are displays of reptiles and information about them. Sloths, flying foxes, Seba bats, anaconda snakes, and a bearcat are some of the animals on show. Campers are welcome to spend the night at The Green Planet.
